Disable Specified Gutenberg Blocks In WordPress – GutenBeGone

GutenBeGone is a WordPress plugin that disables specified block elements for users who are using the WordPress Gutenberg editor.

You can hide all the blocks or the specified elements from the Gutenberg panel on each page or post.

Supported block elements:

  • Common Blocks: Audio, Cover Image, Gallery, Heading, Image, List, Paragraph, Quote, Subheading, Video.
  • Formatting Elements: Code, Classic, Custom HTML, Preformatted, Pull quote, Table, Verse.
  • Layout Elements: Button, More, Separator, Text Columns.
  • Widget Elements: Categories, Latest Posts, Shortcode.
  • Embed Elements: Embed, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, WordPress, SoundCloud, Spotify, Flickr, Vimeo, Animoto, Cloudup, CollegeHumor, Dailymotion, Funny or Die, Hulu, Imgur, Issuu, Kickstarter, Meetup.com, Mixcloud, Photobucket, Polldaddy, Reddit, ReverbNation, Screencast, Scribd, Slideshare, SmugMug, Speaker, TED, Tumblr, VideoPress, WordPress.tv.

How to use it:

1. Search the ‘GutenBeGone’ plugin on the ‘Add Plugins’ page and directly install the plugin on the result page.

2. Activate the plugin and goto the ‘Settings’ page.

3. Select the block element to disable/hide from your Gutenberg panel.

4. Save Changes and done.
