Random Post on Refresh is a WordPress plugin that adds add random posts to your WordPress website with ease.

The plugin supports custom post types and is easy to implement with a shortcode.

How to use it:

1. Download and upload the zip to your WordPress site.

2. Install and activate the Random Post on Refresh plugin.

3. Insert the shortcode [random_post_on_refresh] to anywhere you want to display random posts.

4. Possible parameters:

  • author: an author ID or author IDs separated by comma. e.g. [random_post_on_refresh author="1, 2, 3"]
  • ids: post IDs to display. e.g. [random_post_on_refresh ids="1, 2, 3"]
  • not: exclude post IDs. e.g. [random_post_on_refresh not="4, 5, 6"]
  • post_type: restrict the post type. e.g. [random_post_on_refresh post_type="page"]
  • search: filter posts by search terms. e.g. [random_post_on_refresh search="relativity"]
  • taxonomy: custom tags. e.g. [random_post_on_refresh taxonomy="post_tag" terms="2,4"]
  • class: add a new CSS class to the random posts. e.g. [random_post_on_refresh class="my-custom-class"]
  • size: image size to display. e.g. [random_post_on_refresh size="thumbnail"]
  • show: content to display. e.g. [random_post_on_refresh show="title, image, excerpt"]
