Random Post on Refresh is a WordPress plugin that adds add random posts to your WordPress website with ease.
The plugin supports custom post types and is easy to implement with a shortcode.
Random Post is helpful to the site ranking that makes your content evergreen.
How to use it:
1. Download and upload the zip to your WordPress site.
2. Install and activate the Random Post on Refresh
plugin.
3. Insert the shortcode [random_post_on_refresh]
to anywhere you want to display random posts.
4. Possible parameters:
- author: an author ID or author IDs separated by comma. e.g.
[random_post_on_refresh author="1, 2, 3"]
- ids: post IDs to display. e.g.
[random_post_on_refresh ids="1, 2, 3"]
- not: exclude post IDs. e.g.
[random_post_on_refresh not="4, 5, 6"]
- post_type: restrict the post type. e.g.
[random_post_on_refresh post_type="page"]
- search: filter posts by search terms. e.g.
[random_post_on_refresh search="relativity"]
- taxonomy: custom tags. e.g.
[random_post_on_refresh taxonomy="post_tag" terms="2,4"]
- class: add a new CSS class to the random posts. e.g.
[random_post_on_refresh class="my-custom-class"]
- size: image size to display. e.g.
[random_post_on_refresh size="thumbnail"]
- show: content to display. e.g.
[random_post_on_refresh show="title, image, excerpt"]
