Leira Letter Avatar is a WordPress plugin that automatically generates a Google-style text avatar (Profile Picture) by extracting the first letter of the user’s first and last name.
The letters are the initials of the user taken from first name and last name. If those fields are not set, the plugin will try to determine letters base on Nickname, Display Name, username or email, in that order.
Features:
- Circle or Square style.
- Fill the avatar image with at most 1 or 2 characters.
- Customizable background for each user.
How to use it:
1. Install and activate the plugin on the WordPress website.
2. Go to the Settings page to config the Letter Avatar. Possible settings:
- Determine the Shape of the letter avatar: Circle or Square
- Fill the avatar image with at most 1 or 2 characters
- Make letters bold
- Make letters uppercase
- Automatically determine background color for each user
- Use a custom background color for all users
- Use a random background-color
3. Enable the plugin and done.
