WordPress announced that the Gutenberg editor will be the default editor once WordPress 5.0 is released.
Although Gutenberg can bring a faster and better editing experience, I still believe that a large number of WordPress users prefer the classic editor.
This is why I’d like to introduce a WordPress plugin that creates an ‘Add New (Classic)’ link to create a new post using the classic editor when the Gutenberg editor is activated.
How to use it:
1. Download & unzip the plugin.
2. Upload the folder
post-new-buttonsmenu-using-classic-editor-for-gutenberg into the plugin folder
3. Login to your WordPress and install & activate the plugin on the plugins page.
4. Click the ‘Add New (Classic)’ link to create a new post using the classic editing experience.
