Insert Image Placeholders Into WordPress Using Shortcode

A dead simple WordPress plugin which lets you insert image placeholders anywhere on your WordPress websites with just one line of shortcode.

The image placeholder is based on the famous https://placeholder.com/. Fully customizable by alerting the values of the parameters in the shortcode.

How to use it:

1. On the ‘Add Plugins’ page, search the keyword ‘Shortcode for placeholder.com’.

2. Find this plugin in the results and install & activate it.

3. Insert the following shortcode into the WordPress post or page and specify the height/width of the image placeholder.

4. Customize the image placeholder with the following parameters (OPTIONAL):

  • bg: background color
  • c: text color
  • t: custom text
  • s: uses HTTPS
