Youtube Embed Performance is a WordPress plugin to improve the page speed in case you have lots of Youtube videos embedded in the WordPress.
Once you embed a Youtube video into the WordPress via a shortcode, the plugin first fetches and displays the video thumbnail on the page and delays the loading of Youtube video until the user clicks the Play button.
How to use it:
1. Download and upload the Youtube Embed Performance plugin to the Plugins directory.
2. Or directly install & enable the plugin from the admin panel.
3. Embed a Youtube video into your post/page via the shortcode:
[yep_youtube]Video ID Here[/yep_youtube]
4. That’s it. You can also use the shortcode with the following attributes:
[yep_youtube width="460" height="230" nocookie="0" controls="1" start="0"]Video ID Here[/yep_youtube]
5. Config the Youtube Embed Performance plugin on the Settings page. Optional settings:
- Start at
- Enable privacy-enhanced mode
- Show player controls
6. Save changes and done.
